Cedar Lakes

Spring has sprung at Cedar Lakes.

Cedar Lakes is where West Virginia Writers has their annual writer's conference.
I drove through it a few weeks ago and took these springy pictures.

Beautiful Holt Lodge where conference attendees can spend the weekend.

Go here for more pictures of Cedar Lakes.

I look forward to seeing some of my writing friends here in early June.

  1. Janet, submissions are wide open for the Not Your Mother's Books...until we receive enough quality submissions, and like Chicken Soup, it can take up to a year to develop an anthology.

  2. Janet, my mom is from West Virginia. A place called Pon Run or Pond Run. Not sure. I went there as a child. The state is beautiful. My dad is from neighboring Ohio. So I have traveled through W.Virginia a lot. My uncle was at the Veterans hospital there. Beautiful pics, pal. :-)

That quilt you asked about on my site, I think its called cathedral windows? I will ask my Aunt Glenda, she made it.
Happy Easter to you and yours.

  5. An incentive for writing kinda place. The log house and the covered bridge are beautiful. When I lived in W. Virginia about 46 years ago, our family would take long summer rides in the country after dinner. We ran into so may covered (working) bridges back then. I am sure they are all gone now. -- barbara
