Read What You Write

You have heard it before. Read what you write.

Where do you get all these books you are supposed to read?

Of course, you can buy them at the book store or at Amazon, but that can get expensive.

You can check them out at the library.

You can buy them at thrift stores and yard sales.

You can trade books with your friends.

You can receive children's books by saving codes from Kellogg's and Keebler products.

I have did all of the above.

I have received the following books by saving the codes
and submitting them online at Kellogg's Family Rewards.
So don't throw those boxes away before entering the codes.

The books are identified by the small Family Rewards logo on boxes.
You do not have to buy the products that say free books, because in the
regular rewards program, books are also on the list of items you can get.

I suggest you give it a try. What have you got to lose? And, you can gain a book - or two!

Do you read what you write? Where do you get your reading material?

Happy Writing!

  1. You know me -- thrift store junkie! Ours sells children's books for a quarter. Some used to be a dime, but they went up. LOL!

    1. I like finding goldie oldies at the thrift store, but what's even better is when you find current books at the thrift store and yard sale.

  2. Very neat idea! I'm a confirmed library user. I purchase only books that I find very special.

  3. Interesting about the code deals. I had no idea. I purchase a lot of books, also watch for the free ones on Amazon. Entering a lot of contests is another way to get books. I read the kind of stories I write and also other types of books too.

  4. I'd forgotten about entering contests. That is also a good way to obtain them. I've did that before and I love it when I win books!

  5. I get most of my books from the library, but I also exchange books with family and friends.

Thanks for letting me know about the Kellogg's program. I need to start saving those codes.

  6. I definitely read what I write! I read at least 5 middle grade books a month and sometimes as many as 10. I usually check them out for the library or borrow them from my friend who is a 5th grade teacher. I had no idea about the codes! How have I missed that? I don't know, but now that you have let me know I hope to get some books that way too! Thanks for sharing. :)

    1. That is reading a lot, Jess. How do you find the time? I'm glad you know about the codes now. Everything helps if it enables us to get more of the books we love.
