What do you do at your local library?
Our writer's group meets every week in one of their rooms that are free to use.
I do research on writing my picture books and middle grade novels.
I research genealogy and learn all about my family's past.
I participate in their activities and events.
I submitted my hickory nut pie into their Pie Competition on National Pi Day on March 14th. I won first place.
I enter their annual writing contest.
And, with the help of our library, we now have little libraries all over our county where you can . . . take a book - return a book.
What do you do at your library?
Congrats on your win. I bet it's delicious. Sounds like a lot of fun and enjoyment. Hugs, xo
ReplyDeleteHi Susie! Thanks for coming over and commenting. And, the pie is delicious.
DeleteThat pie looks scrumptious!! I wish we had a writer's group here in town. Hmm...maybe I should start one:) The Mark Twain Museum has several rooms. Wouldn't that be a cool place for a writer's group?!
ReplyDeleteHi Jennifer. That would be a great place to have a writer's meeting. You should check into it and start one.
DeleteI love libraries! I borrow books, I sit and read. I browse. I meet with my writing partner at them. I also adore little libraries. Such a great idea! :)

Hi Jess, I love the little libraries, I visit them often.
DeleteCongratulations upon winning first place with the hickory nut pie. Sounds really good. Little Libraries are wonderful ideas. I love books and I love libraries. I didn't know it was National Library Week.
ReplyDeleteI would love a slice of your pie.
Hi Brenda, bet you would love the pie!
DeleteYour pie sounds delicious. Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteI don't spend as much time at the library as I'd like to. Must start visiting more often.
The little libraries are neat. I don't know of any around this area. Will have to check.
Have a great weekend.
Thanks, Beverly, it was.
