What I'm Reading Wednesday - and Interview!

This week I've read Just Juice by Karen Hesse.

Juice lives with her mom and dad and four sisters. She doesn't like school and letters and numbers don't make any sense to her. She has to do third grade all over again.
She usually skips school and spends time with her dad. Her dad has a secret - he can't read, either. So when he gets warning letters about not paying taxes on his house, he ignores them. But, he can't ignore the last one he gets telling him that his house has been sold for back taxes.
Juice and her dad work together to try to figure out a way to fix the problem.

Just Juice has 19,422 words and worth 3 AR points.

    Loved the post on GrogBlog. I haven't read this book, but I will put it on my TBR list. I just finished Lynda Mullaly Hunt's book Fish in a Tree that has a similar theme. Thanks for telling me about this.

    I haven't read Just Juice. I have read other books by her and we are interviewing her on our blog soon. I will have to check out Just Juice and your interview. :)

    I enjoyed your interview very much, Janet. It was great. This is a great blog site. Glad your interview was posted. It was wonderful.
    I want to read this book, JUST JUICE. It sounds like a real good read.
